Christmas Rituals & Readying the Home!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful lead up to Christmas! The weather last week certainly helped to put us all in a festive mood! It is hard to believe that Christmas Week is here!
I adore Christmas, for many reasons, one of the main ones is that I love to take it as an opportunity to play around with the interiors in the house and give everything a festive spruce up!
Rather than spending money on decorations that are only relevant for a few weeks in December, we have been busy over the last few weeks repurposing some of our most beloved items around the home instead.
To make the next week at home look a little merrier, I’ve put together a list of some of my fave home decorating tips, some with our Gulp Loves products and other tips and tricks that I will be doing at home!
I am a lot more committed to using what I already have within the house and making this stuff more festive! I’ve been using my Hot Pottery Cake Stand for mince pies which looks delightful in the middle of the table. On Christmas morning, I’ll be using the cake stand for canapés which adds a different height to the table and looks gorgeous mixed amongst other plates (plain or festive, the more the merrier!), candles and beautiful napkins!
I’ll be placing Milk Chocolate Santa Claus or White Chocolate Snowmen at each table setting on the Christmas table! We sell these at Gulp, not online but can be purchased from our coffee shop just by the till! I simply unwrap these and place them at the top of each place setting, adding a nice little bit of festive-ness but also something sweet for everyone to enjoy. (You can see these in the image above). I am a BIG fan of a name place card too, which we sell here!
We used the Make Your Own Crackers Set from Gulp Loves. I have these scattered around my house ahead of using these on 25th, the print on the crackers is so divine and festive! Each set comes with cracker hats and a joke slip too!
Taper Candles dotted EVERYWHERE! If you can’t already tell, I’m a big fan. We have our beautiful festive set with a Christmas greeting which I’ve placed beside lamps in my house for extra warmth. On Christmas day, I’ll scatter these amongst the canapés then move them to the Christmas table!
These snow speckled candles are almost too good to light, far too pretty, but scattered throughout the house, they look so stunning!
They will most certainly be making their way onto my Christmas table too with some red taper candles and green too!
We’ve also been scattering our paper angels all over the house, they are so fun to make and just look so stunning everywhere. I’ve added some to the mantlepiece, a few to the tree and some scattered beside vases etc! I just love them! These are a great budget friendly way to add extra oomph to your home!
Enjoy the build up to Christmas weekend, it truly is the most wonderful time of the year. All of our candles can be bought online and collected on the day from Gulp!
